A delegation led by Czech President Petr Pavel visited the new offices of MND Ukraine in Lviv, where it spent several hours in intensive discussions. The visit included meetings with journalists, Czech entrepreneurs and representatives of nonprofit organizations active in western Ukraine. MND’s premises became a center of dialogue on business development and humanitarian support for Ukraine.

The modern administrative building, located close to the center of Lviv, is home to MND Ukraine and several other companies. Its new offices, opened last year, formed the main venue of the President’s program. The delegation was welcomed by Jana Hamršmídová, Director of MND Energy, together with Maksym Kozytskyi, Governor of the Lviv Region, and Stepan Kozytskyi, Director of Horyzonty.
“It is a great honor for us that the President visited our offices and we truly appreciate it. The visit highlights the work of our entire team and underlines the importance of MND in Ukraine. Under the leadership of Lukáš Svozil, our team has been developing the business here for twelve years in a very challenging environment, and this perseverance is delivering very good results.”
In Zak Gallery on the second floor of the building, President Pavel answered questions from Czech and Ukrainian media on the security situation and the economic recovery of the country. Another part of the program was dedicated to meetings with Czech entrepreneurs who have been active in Ukraine for many years. The President also familiarized himself with the activities of MND, which has been operating in Ukraine since 2014 and today ranks among the most significant Czech investors in the energy sector.
The visit continued with meetings with representatives of Czech nonprofit organizations including Člověk v tísni, Nadace Partnerství and Nadace BONA, as well as presentations on MND’s corporate social responsibility activities. These focus on supporting children, education, war veterans and local communities
Luboš Veselý, Director of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation, presented the Ark for Ukraine project, a mobile facility dedicated to the digitalization and protection of Ukraine’s written cultural heritage, which MND supports in cooperation with the Karel Komárek Family Foundation.
MND combines long-term business engagement with a strong sense of social responsibility. The company supports children and education in cooperation with the Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Schools of Superheroes project, helps foster families, single mothers and children affected by war, and works closely with Ivano Frankivsk University.
The company is also actively involved in programs for the rehabilitation and social integration of war veterans, supports the development of local communities in the regions where it operates, and cooperates with the Czech Embassy in Kyiv and the Consulate General in Lviv. At the same time, it contributes to the sustainable recovery of Ukraine through projects focused on community energy, energy efficient buildings, water management and recycling.
