The Karel Komárek Family Foundation (KKFF) continues to advance its mission of strengthening cultural education by enabling young Czech talent to gain international experience. In cooperation with the Czech Centre London, the foundation recently supported a group of promising young pianists who participated in a series of masterclasses and a concert at the Royal Academy of Music, one of the world’s leading music institutions.

As part of the 29th edition of the Made in Prague festival, five scholarship recipients from KKFF’s Cheering on Talents program spent several days working with Royal Academy professors and performing for an international audience. The project reflects KKFF’s long-term strategy to raise further the quality of arts education in the Czech Republic by connecting young musicians with top mentors and professional environments abroad.
International exposure is a key component of KKFF’s educational approach. Engaging with leading institutions and performing in unfamiliar settings helps young artists deepen technical skills, build confidence, and broaden their artistic perspectives. These opportunities also support the foundation’s wider objective of fostering high-quality cultural development that benefits both individual talents and the broader arts community.
The collaboration with the Czech Centre London builds on KKFF’s ongoing efforts to create platforms where young artists can develop their potential at an accelerated pace. Following successful presentations in Vienna and Brussels in recent years, the London engagement further expands the international dimension of the foundation’s cultural programs.
