Allwyn’s transformation from a Czech lottery operator into a global market leader illustrates KKCG’s long-term, value-driven investment strategy. As an active owner, KKCG uses its platform, networks and strategic guidance to scale businesses internationally.

By identifying undervalued opportunities and backing ambitious management teams, KKCG has built Allwyn into the second largest listed lottery and gaming operator. Today, Allwyn generates over €1.5 billion in adjusted EBITDA, operates across major European and American markets, and continues to grow through innovation, digitalisation and targeted acquisitions.
The brand’s international profile has been strengthened through high-profile partnerships, including in the world of Formula 1. This progress reflects the benefits of KKCG’s diversified investment platform, which provides the capital, oversight and resilience to support sustained expansion.
KKCG’s approach to building Allwyn has combined disciplined capital allocation with a clear strategy of both organic and inorganic growth, underpinned by significant M&A expertise and a strong track record of entering and scaling new markets.
The journey began in 2011 with the acquisition of SAZKA, the Czech national lottery, where KKCG invested to modernise operations, rebuild player trust and establish a strong platform for expansion.
From 2013, Allwyn expanded across Greece (OPAP) and Austria (CASAG), bringing these assets together in 2016 to form SAZKA Group. This created a scalable platform for further growth in core markets and expansion into Croatia (SuperSport) and Italy (LOTTOITALIA), demonstrating a repeatable model of disciplined acquisition, integration and value creation.
Allwyn has since extended its footprint into the UK and US through the acquisitions of Camelot UK and Camelot Lottery Solutions. Winning the license to operate The National Lottery in the UK in 2022 marked a major milestone in its international development.
Growth has continued to be driven by digital momentum, with online net gaming revenue increasing 11% in 2025. Alongside this, Allwyn has expanded into adjacent categories through the acquisition of a majority stake in PrizePicks, building exposure to fast-growing segments such as daily fantasy sports. This has been complemented by the combination with OPAP, creating one of the world’s largest listed lottery and gaming operators.
Allwyn is not just a success story; it is a reflection of how KKCG works: actively building, strengthening and scaling businesses over time, with the backing and discipline to support continued growth. It’s this focus that continues to shape Allwyn’s evolution as it works towards becoming a leading global gaming entertainment company.
